I wanted to take a moment to share with you this detailed list that I loved from rabbitexpert.com
Have you seen our review? We were recently contacted by Alifetherabbit.com who had nothing but wonderful things to say about our business - which had then not even re-opened yet. We were so pleased to hear all the kind words they had for us, and to see how excited they were for our opening. We gladly sent them a box of goodies and added a few complimentaries in there of course - we always appreciate and value our fans and the followers who take extra time to spread the word about our little business.
After receiving the box, Alifethrabbit.com decided to feature us in our own personal review! Alifetherabbit.com is a great site filled with tips and tricks geared towards UK residents and helping them find great rabbit and guinea pig goodies at a great price. They also feature other great tips for instagram users, and bunny parents alike.
Although we are located in Canada we have always had a fan base worldwide, and now hopefully an even greater one in the UK, thanks to Alifetherabbit. We can't wait to work together again!

The Green Bunny Store has made it to Berlin! @Imschuh is a quite famous instagram account for 2 bunnies by the names of Imschuh and Toffie. @Imschuh was the first to reach out to us and praise us on how wonderful our boxes seemed, even though they hadn't ever had one before. With Christmas just around the corner, they were eager to find out what was coming for December. We decided to collaborate and made a custom box for them - with a few goodies we were going to include in our Christmas boxes, and a few bonuses to give them an idea of our products and our brand. One of the Christmas specials was a "surprise item" available in our 45$ box, which was a unique wooden craft or tree ornament with the rabbit's name. You can see it in the first photo in on the right hand side in turquoise.
@Imschuh contacted us right away to let us know their box had arrived! They asked if they could do a like video to show all their followers just what getting a box entails (how you receive it, how it is packaged and displayed, and how much the bunnies actually like the products they receive, etc...). Of course, we were thrilled. This wasn't just a post, but A LIVE VIDEO UNBOXING that us, along with thousands of people worldwide, could watch from miles away as the action was happening.
We watched in anticipation and were on the edge of our seat for every minute of it. Hundreds of names came up across the screen as people all over the world tuned in. The box looked great and the bunnies were jumping all over it. The video was amazing, and quite long, and even though almost all of it was in German, we could sense the joy and excitement bunny momma felt as she opened the box and showed all of the items to the Imschuh and Toffie.
It was definitely an experience we will never forget!
If you're not familiar with @Imschuh's account, they take wonderful professional photos - even the ones that seem like action "in the moment" shots are always clear and set to a beautiful background. They post lots of great videos from different bunny boxes from around the world, and often have giveaways. We definitely suggest you follow them!
Lucky for us, @Imschuh offered us the wonderful photos you see above to keep. And below you will find a few snaps from the live unboxing. We don't have a copy for you guys to watch, but you'll find a few silly photos below that should show you just how fun it was watching these two.
We hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Thanks @Imschuh and Toffie
As some of you might already know, we are proud supporters of many shelters and stores that help re-home rabbits all over the world. Included in some of the many list of saviours we know are the kind people at our local Pet Value store.
The Pet Value at Blair Rd has done a complete 360 over the last few years with new ownership and a knowledgeable staff. They even asked us for rabbit recommendations when it came so revamping the "rabbit section" of the store in order to offer a better and bigger selection - to be honest it was quite small before. We took advantage of this and talked their ears off with all of our bunny-parent-knowledge.
Since then, Pet Value has helped foster and care for rabbits at the store while they await adoption. Although we are a small home-based company, we don't think that's any excuse not to do our part. Short of adopting more rabbits - we had 5 at once not too long ago - we decided to leave the rabbit keeping up to the store but felt we ought to contribute something! And what better contribution than what we do best - toys and treats.
Now we make a monthly or sometimes bi-weekly trip to check-in on whatever bunny is residing there and provide treats and pets. We also usually leave some sort of package or gift box that is included with the bunny once he/she is adopted. We hope it serves as a small incentive for adoption but also as a guide to steer the new parent(s) towards the right kind of toys and treats.
What we do is made possible by the orders you place in our online store. So thank you to everyone who orders and we hope you continue to help us on our journey to helping rabbits everywhere!
(I am happy to say we popped in the other day to see Benny, only to find out he was adopted over the holidays and has been replaced by wonderful Rosie seen below. We were sad but also thrilled to see our beloved Benny now gone and wish the same great fate for little Rosie. Congratulations on your new life Benny!)
Dutchy and Bella have their own Youtube channel!
Dutchy and Bella contacted us through Instagram a few months ago interested in collaborating. After ordering a box of goodies, they fell in love with a product called "I Want Takeout", which is, as it sounds, a Chinese takeaway box filled with a sample of every type of treat and every type of edible texture that we offer in our store.
It's a great starter toy because it offers bunny parents the chance to see what items their bunny prefers, since it has a little of everything.
It's also a great reusable toy (if you're bunny isn't too destructive), because you can select a few items in the box (and take the others out) and close the box to encourage your bunny to dig and scratch at the box, or even just toss around. When those treats are gone, simply refill with the remaining treats, or add your own.
We sent Dutchy and Bella another takeout box last week, along with a few new items, to see what they thought.
Check out their awesome Youtube video below, and don't forget to subscribe to their channel!
Thank you to Dutchy and Bella for such an amazing video.
This passed weekend we participated in the 2018 BunnyFest in California by providing products to our friends Friends of Unwanted Rabbits (F.U.R.) Shelter to help them raise money and, of course, to draw everyone to their table to find out more about all the great work they do!
Many of you who emailed or spoke to us on our online chat already know that we had been working on this large order for just over a month!
We provided the snazzy TGBS (Thegreenbunnystore) bags that you see below too to place the goodies in and hopefully we painted the event green with them!
F.U.R. told us they had quite a busy table and sold out of almost all the items!!! The granola bites were a hit, and the botanicals too, but mostly everyone was happy to be able to sample our delicious apple chips - we provided custom sample bags, hat we came up with with F.U.R., that they offered to the first 100 people that came by their table. What a great way to get the crowd going.
You can see Mr. Papaya Bunny enjoying and modeling with the Apple snack below.
We're eager to make new fans and help spread the word of our little store.
A big thank you goes out to the F.U.R. volunteers for helping spread the word about TGBS, and most importantly for all the great work they do.
All in all, a great success, and for a great cause!
